It seems like every year time flies by faster and faster and this summer has gone by so quickly. With two weeks of work we spent one week in Paris which was just awesome but I’ll get back to that trip in a separate post. Since I do live in Sweden I didn’t have to much expectations about the weather and it has been pretty much like any other year with some weeks being just incredibly warm and sunny and others like this with some cold days and some crazy rainfalls.
It has been an eventful summer in my hometown we had all the usual stuff like “Hjulafton” (roughly translates to Eve of wheels) where we have tons of motorcycles and cars of all shapes and sizes come into town and there are all kind of contests with homemade trolleys and large lawn mowers. But we also got a visit from the ship Götheborg which is a 1:1 replica of a 18th century trading ship that traveled to China. The ship has been out on a large tour around Sweden and northern Europe this summer. And last but not least the air force base next to my hometown held a large air show with military aircrafts from Sweden and our neighboring counties with airplanes from the 40’s to today modern jets. The only thing wrong with that day was that it was probably this years hottest day so we had to sit underneath an umbrella just to hide from the sun. Fortunately they had strategically placed a NATO Boeing C-17 with it’s wing sticking out over the grass so that we could sit in the shadow of the large wing.
Now that the summer is coming to an end I have a few things to look forward to this coming autumn. First of all I got flight over my hometown for my birthday which I’ve still not been able to do. Later this autumn I have at least one concert I’ll go to, maybe two. To lazer or not to lazer, that is the question. Anyway this is just a quick recap of my summer but as I said I’ll dedicate a full post to our trip to Paris and my feelings about that city.
Now it is probably time to stop writing and start paying the bills, see you in the next one.
